Pertubuhan Alumni ABK/AOTS (PAAA) has come a long way and this year we are 35
Being much alive and active, it is challenging for the non-profit organization (NPO) but nevertheless with our dedicated team of Executive Committee Members, very supportive members and friends, we manage to keep the Alumni moving along with other AOTS Alumni Societies throughout the world.
We’ll continue to contribute and share our parts of development towards the nation building for the future generation, in the activities on Human Resource Development (HRD) and playing our role in Cultural Exchange in Penang, Malaysia. Thus, we promote and enhance friendship among the people of Penang (Malaysia) & Japan.
Our website was officially launched in May 2006 during our 35th Anniversary Celebration dinner by our beloved YB Dato’ Koay Kar Huah, Executive Councilor of the State of Penang, an AOTS ex-trainees as well as Advisor to PAAA. The ‘REUNION’ dinner enabled us to gather together, rekindle our friendship, recalls fond memories of the past when we undergone our training in Japan and also, strengthening the spirit of brotherhood among ex-trainees and friends.
The society attended the 7th World Convention of AOTS Alumni Societies in Mumbai, India, 11th-12th September 2006. Together with AOTS Japan, all alumni societies shall aim to improve the administration system, training programs and relationships.
Our new office bearer 2006-2008 was elected in AGM, 24th September 2006, Evergreen Hotel Penang. The team shall strive its best to continue to move forward and become an effective society in Penang.
Upcoming, we will be organizing a WNF (World Network Friendship) Leadership Development Seminar, 9-11th November 2007, Hotel Copthorne Orchid Penang. 30 participants from various countries shall take part in the seminar. This seminar is a benchmark to the society as it is the first time ever in the history that a WNF program is being held by PAAA in Penang.
